How Do I Show Post Revision in WordPress?

When you make a change to a post on your WordPress site, you can show that change by revision numbers in the post body and in the post’s comments.

To show revision numbers:

1. In the post content, include a number at the beginning of each paragraph to indicate which version of the post that paragraph is from.

2. In the post’s comments, include a revision number for each comment.

To show revision numbers in the post body:

1. Open the post in your editor. In the “Tags” field, add a “rev” tag.

3. In the “Content” field, add a number at the beginning of each paragraph to indicate which version of the post that paragraph is from.

4. In the “Publish” field, add a date/time to indicate when the post was last published.

5. Click “Publish.”

6. In the “Posts” tab, under “Posts by date,” you’ll see the posts with revision numbers.

Click on a post to see the comments for that post.

7. To see the revision numbers for a particular comment, click on the comment’s “Revision number” link.

8. To see the revision numbers for all comments, click on the “Comments” link in the post’s navigation bar.

9. To hide revision numbers, return to step 2 and change the “Revision number” tag to “No revision number.”.
