How Do I Remove a Featured Image From a Link in WordPress?

When you create a link in WordPress, you can include a featured image to visually represent the article. However, if you no longer want the featured image to appear when people click the link, you can remove it from the link.

To remove a featured image from a link in WordPress, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the link you want to modify in the WordPress post or page you’re working on.

2. Click the Edit link next to the link text.

3. In the Link Text field, remove the text that includes the featured image’s URL.

4. Click the Save button to save the changes you’ve made.

5. If you want to include a replacement featured image with the modified link, upload the image to your blog and place it in the same folder as the WordPress file you’re using to create the link.

6. Copy the modified link’s text and paste it into the text field where you originally included the featured image’s URL.

7. Click the Publish button to save the changes and publish the post or page.

8. If you want to preview the changes before you publish them, click the Preview Link button.

9. When you’re satisfied with the results, click the Publish button to publish the post or page.

10. If you made any other changes to the post or page, click the Update Link button to apply them.

11. If you’re finished editing the post or page, click the Close button to return to the WordPress editor.

12. Disclose any links you created in the post or page, if desired.

13. Click the Publish button to publish the post or page, and you’re done!

The featured image will no longer appear on the link when people click it, and your readers will see the updated text and image.
