Can You Replace an Image in WordPress Media Library?

When you add an image to a post or page in WordPress, Media Library automatically adds the image to the Media Library. However, if you need to replace an image in the Media Library, there are a few ways to do it.

The easiest way to replace an image in the Media Library is to use the Media Library page editor. Open the Media Library page you want to edit, and click the “Edit” button in the top left corner.

In the “Edit Media Library” dialog, select the image you want to replace, and click the “Replace” button. WordPress will automatically update the image in the Media Library.

If you don’t want to use the Media Library page editor, you can replace an image in the Media Library using the Media Library API. To do this, you’ll need to set up a custom media type in your WordPress site.
