Where Is the Edit Link on WordPress?

When you make changes to a WordPress blog post, you can preview your changes by clicking the “Preview” link on the post’s toolbar. If you’re working on a post that’s already live, the “Edit” link is usually at the top of the post’s editor window.

However, if you’re working on a post that’s not live, the “Edit” link might not be available. If the “Edit” link isn’t available, it might be because you’re working on a post that’s been published, or it might be because you’re working on a post that’s been unpublished.

If you’re working on a post that’s been unpublished, you can’t preview your changes or publish them until you’ve activated the post’s publish button. To activate the post’s publish button, you need to click the “Publish” link on the post’s toolbar.

If you’re working on a post that’s been published, the “Edit” link might be available, or it might be hidden by the post’s content. If the “Edit” link is hidden, it’s probably because you’re working on a post that’s been published as a draft.

To see the post’s published status, hover your mouse over the post’s title bar and look for the “Publish” link. If the “Publish” link isn’t available, the post is published and you can click the “Publish” link to activate it.

If the “Edit” link is available, you can make changes to the post’s content, and then click the “Publish” link to publish the post.
