How Do I Revert to a Previous Version of a Page in WordPress?

In WordPress, there are two different ways to revert to a previous version of a page: through the Version Control System (VCS) and through the history of the page.

Through the Version Control System

To revert a page through the VCS, open the page in your editor of choice and use the “revert” or “undo” buttons to get back to the version you want. To revert to a specific commit, use the “revert commit” button.

To revert to a specific version of the page, use the “revert version” button. This will revert the page to the version specified by the number.

For example, if you want to revert to the version from two days ago, use the “revert version” button with a number like “2”.

Through the History of the Page

To revert a page through the history of the page, open the page in your editor of choice and use the “history” button to get back to the version you want. To revert to a specific commit, use the “history commit” button.

To revert to a specific version of the page, use the “history version” button.

For example, if you want to revert to the version from two days ago, use the “history version” button with a number like “2”.
