How Do I Manually Install WordPress on SiteGround?

If you have already created a WordPress site on SiteGround, then you can skip this section. If you have not created a WordPress site on SiteGround, then follow these steps to create a new WordPress site:

1. Log in to your SiteGround account.

2. Click on the “Site Templates” link in the top left corner of the screen.

3. Click on the “Create A New Site” button.

4. In the “Site Title” field, type a name for your new WordPress site.

5. In the “Description” field, type a brief description of your new WordPress site.

6. In the “Site Address” field, type the URL of your new WordPress site.

7. In the “Create A Themes Page” field, type a title for the page where you will install the WordPress themes.

8. In the “Create A Pages Page” field, type a title for the page where you will install the WordPress pages.

9. In the “Create A Blog Page” field, type a title for the page where you will install the WordPress blog.

10. In the “Create A Contact Page” field, type a title for the page where you will install the WordPress contact form.

11. In the “Create A Custom Header” field, type a title for the custom header that will be displayed on your new WordPress site.

12. In the “Select A Theme” field, type the name of the WordPress theme that you want to use for your new WordPress site.

13. Click on the “Create Site” button.

14. After your site has been created, you will be taken to the “Site Settings” page. On this page, you will need to complete the following fields:

a. In the “Site Title” field, type the title of your WordPress site.

b. In the “Site Description” field, type a brief description of your WordPress site.

c. In the “Site Address” field, type the URL of your WordPress site.

d. In the “Site Language” field, type the language of your WordPress site.

e. In the “Site Timezone” field, type the time zone of your WordPress site.

f. In the “Web Hosting” field, type the hostname or IP address of the server where your WordPress site will be hosted.

g. In the “Database Hosting” field, type the hostname or IP address of the server where your WordPress site will be hosted.

h. In the “Database Name” field, type the name of the database for your WordPress site.

i. In the “Database Username” field, type the username for the database for your WordPress site.

j. In the “Database Password” field, type the password for the database for your WordPress site.

k. In the “Select A Theme” field, type the name of the WordPress theme that you want to use for your WordPress site.

l. In the “Select A Plugin” field, type the name of the WordPress plugin that you want to use for your WordPress site.

m. In the “Select A Theme Location” field, type the path to the folder where the WordPress theme file and the WordPress plugin file will be stored.

n. In the “Select A Plugin Location” field, type the path to the folder where the WordPress plugin file will be stored.

o. In the “Select A Script Location” field, type the path to the folder where the WordPress plugin or the WordPress theme will use the JavaScript files.

17. After your SiteSettings have been saved, you will be taken to the “Site Content” page. In the “Title” field, type the title of the first post that will be displayed on your WordPress site. In the “Post Title” field, type the title of the post. In the “Post Body.
