How Do I Edit Text Content in WordPress?

How to Edit Text Content in WordPress

If you want to edit text content in WordPress, you can use the built-in text editor or one of the many WordPress plugins that provide a text editor interface.

To use the built-in text editor, open the post or page where you want to make your changes, and click the “Text” link in the toolbar at the top of the page. The built-in text editor will appear.

To use a WordPress plugin that provides a text editor interface, search for the plugin on the WordPress.org website, and click the “Install” button next to it.

The plugin’s installation screen will appear. Click the “Text” tab, and then click the “Create New Text Block” button.

On the “Create New Text Block” screen, give the new text block a name, and then enter the text that you want to appear in the text box. (If you want to add a hyperlink, you’ll need to enter the URL of the hyperlink instead of the text.

) Click the “Create Text Block” button, and then click the “Save” button.

The new text block will appear in the post or page, and you can edit it as you would any other WordPress post or page. When you’re finished editing the text block, click the “Close” button to dismiss the text editor.

If you want to save your changes without closing the text editor, click the “File” button in the toolbar at the top of the page, and then click the “Save As” button. (If you have more than one post or page in your WordPress blog, you’ll need to select the post or page that you want to save the changes to before you can click the “Save As” button.)

Click the “File” button again, and then click the “Close” button to dismiss the text editor. The changes that you made will be saved, and the next time that you preview the post or page, the new text block will appear.

If you want to make multiple changes to the same text block, you can use the “Undo” and “Redo” buttons in the text editor window to cycle through your changes.

When you’re finished editing the text block, click the “Close” button to dismiss the text editor.

Finally, if you want to keep your changes but remove the text block from the post or page, click the “Delete” button in the toolbar at the top of the page. (If you have more than one post or page in your WordPress blog, you’ll need to select the post or page that you want to delete the text block from before you can click the “Delete” button.)

The text block will be deleted, and the post or page will look like it did before you made your changes.

If you want to keep your changes but add the text block to the post or page, click.
