How Do I Edit My Cart Page in WordPress?

When you create a cart in WordPress, you have the option to add a “Continue Shopping” button to your cart page. Clicking this button sends users to your checkout page, where they can complete their purchase.

Unfortunately, if you change your mind about a purchase after you’ve clicked the “Continue Shopping” button, you may not be able to undo the transaction. In this article, we’ll show you how to edit your cart page in WordPress to prevent users from completing a purchase if they change their mind.

To begin, open your WordPress admin area and navigate to the “Pages” menu. From here, select the “Cart” page you want to edit.

Next, click the “Edit Cart” button located below the page content.

On the “Cart Edit Page” screen, you’ll first need to identify the item you want to prevent users from purchasing. In our example, we’ll want to prevent users from purchasing the “One-Time Use License” for our plugin.

To do this, we’ll select the “One-Time Use License” item from the list on the left side of the screen and click the “Edit” button next to it.

On the “One-Time Use License Edit Page” screen, we’ll need to identify the “Continue Shopping” button. To do this, we’ll click the “Button” link next to the “Continue Shopping” button and select the “Cart” tab from the drop-down menu.

Now, we’ll need to modify the text on the “Continue Shopping” button. To do this, we’ll enter the text “Cancel” in the text box next to the “Button” link. We’ll also want to add a “Cancel if you change your mind” disclaimer, so we’ll add the following text to the “Disclaimer” section of the “One-Time Use License Edit Page”:

By clicking the “Continue Shopping” button, you are agreeing to purchase this product. If you change your mind, please click the “Cancel” button to return to the main cart page.

Now, we’ll click the “Save Changes” button to update the cart page with our changes.

Finally, we’ll click the “View Cart” button to view the updated cart page.

Congratulations, you’ve successfully edited your cart page in WordPress! If you ever need to revert your changes, you can click the “Cancel” button on the “One-Time Use License Edit Page” to return to the original cart page.
