How Do I Create an External Link in WordPress?

Creating an external link in WordPress is not as difficult as it may seem at first. In fact, it is quite simple and can be done with a few simple steps.

To create an external link in WordPress, first locate the content you want to link to. You can do this by either clicking on the content itself or using the search bar located on the left-hand side of the WordPress admin screen.

Once you have located the content, click on the “Links” tab located at the top of the screen. This will open up a new tab with all of the links on your website listed.

Click on the link you want to link to, and then click on the “Refresh” button located at the bottom of the screen. This will refresh the link and allow you to enter the URL of the destination website.

Finally, enter the URL of the destination website into the “URL” field, and then click on the “Submit” button located at the bottom of the screen.

WordPress will now generate the external link and add it to the link list located on the “Links” tab. You can now click on the external link to open up the destination website.
