How Do I Create a Meta Key in WordPress?

Meta Keys are a key-value pair that WordPress uses to store metadata about the posts and pages in your blog. Meta Keys are automatically generated when you create a new post or page, and they are also automatically generated when you add a media file to a post or page.

To create a Meta Key, first click on the “Posts” menu item in the WordPress dashboard, and then click on the “Add New” button. In the “Post Type” dropdown menu, select “Page”, and then in the “Meta Key” field, type the name of your Meta Key.

For example, the Meta Key for a post called “My First Post” would be “my_first_post”.

Next, add the information that you want to store about your post or page in the “Meta Key fields”. In the “Title” field, type the title of your post or page. In the “Description” field, type a brief description of your post or page.

In the “Keywords” field, type the keywords that you want to include in your post or page. In the “Author” field, type the author of your post or page.

Finally, click on the “Update” button to save your Meta Key.
