Adding Two Parent Categories in WordPress

Adding a Parent Category to a WordPress Site is a simple enough task, but there are a few things to keep in mind when doing so.

First and foremost, make sure that the Category you want to add is already in use on your site. If it isn’t, you’ll need to add it yourself. Once you know that the Category is available, follow these steps to add it to your WordPress Site:

1. Click on the “Appearance” tab of your WordPress Site.

2. Under the “Template” heading, click on the “Categories” drop-down menu.

3. Click on the “Add New Category” button.

4. In the “Name” field, type the name of the Category you want to add.

5. In the “Description” field, type a brief description of the Category.

6. Click on the “Add” button.

7. Repeat steps 4-6 to add another Category to your WordPress Site.

8. Click on the “Save Changes” button to save your changes to your WordPress Site.

9. Log out of your WordPress Site, and then log back in.
