Why Can’t I Edit My Page in WordPress?

When you visit a WordPress page, you’ll see a row of icons at the top of the screen. The one on the left is the “Editor” icon.

Click it to open the editor.

The WordPress editor is a simple text editor with a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) interface. You can edit the content of a WordPress page using the editor.

However, you can’t edit your WordPress page using the editor if you don’t have the correct permissions. To add or change permissions for a page, go to the “Pages” screen in the WordPress admin area, and select the page you want to change permissions for.

Then click the “Permissions” tab.
