Where Is the Background Image in WordPress?

Background images are used in WordPress to provide a visual element to your posts and pages. When you create a post, the WordPress editor displays a default background image that is automatically generated from your site’s logo or main image.

You can also add images to your posts and pages using the Media Library.

To add an image as the background for a post or page:

1. In the post or page editor, click the Background button.

2. In the Background Images panel, select the image you want to use.

3. Click the Insert button.

4. The image will appear in the post or page, and the Background button will be disabled.

You can now add content to the post or page as usual.

To remove a background image from a post or page:

2. In the Background Images panel, select the image you want to remove. Click the Remove button. The image will be removed from the post or page, and the Background button will be enabled.

The Background button is disabled if no image is selected. If you add an image using the Media Library, the Background button is enabled even if no image is selected.

If you remove an image from the Media Library, the Background button is disabled.
