How Do I Unzip and Install WordPress?

When you first log into your WordPress site, you’ll see a blue box with a white arrow pointing to the right. Click that arrow and you’ll see a popup that says, “Click to expand this box.

” Click the downward-pointing arrow in the lower-left corner of that popup to expand it.

You’ll see a blue box with a white arrow pointing to the right and a number inside it (1, 2, 3, etc.).

This is your WordPress site’s file list. The number inside the blue box tells you which file is currently being viewed.

To the right of that number is a blue box with a white arrow pointing to the right. That’s your site’s folders.

To the left of that number is a blue box with a white arrow pointing to the left. That’s your site’s files.

The arrow inside that box points to the file you’re currently viewing.

To the right of that box is a green box with a white arrow pointing to the right. That’s your site’s uploads folder.

To the left of that box is a green box with a white arrow pointing to the left. That’s your site’s media folder.

Click the green box with the white arrow to the left of the file you’re viewing to open it in a new window.

Click the downward-pointing arrow in the lower-left corner of that new window to expand it.

That’s your WordPress site’s folder list.

To the left of that box is a green box with a white arrow pointing to the right.

You’ll see a blue box.
