How Do I Show the Category of a WordPress Page?

Adding a category to a WordPress page is easy. Just use the category editor on the Posts page and enter the name of the category you want to create.

When you’re done, click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the category editor.

Now, to display the category on the page, just enter the category name in the address bar of your browser, like this:

http://example.com/category/cats

If you want to show only posts in the category, you can use the tag filter in the WordPress posts editor. For example, to show all posts tagged with “cats,” you would enter this in the post editor:

tag:cats

If you want to show only posts from a specific date range, you can use the post date range filter. For example, to show all posts from today through tomorrow, you would enter this in the post editor:

date_range: today-tomorrow

If you want to show only posts from a specific blog, you can use the blog ID filter. For example, to show all posts from my blog, you would enter this:

blog:1

Finally, you can also show a category on the front-page of your WordPress blog by setting the category slug in your blog’s admin area. To do this, open the Settings page for your blog in the WordPress admin area, and under “Pages,” click the Edit link next to the Blog Name column.

In the Blog Settings page that appears, under “Slug,” enter the category slug for the category you want to show on the front page of your blog. For example, if the category slug is “cats,” you would enter this:.

cats.
