How Do I Make WordPress Writable?

When you install WordPress, it’s set to be writable by the web server. However, you may want to make WordPress writable by your users on their own machines.

This can be accomplished by changing a few settings in WordPress.

First, open the WordPress Settings screen and click on the “Security” tab. Under the “Security” heading, make sure the “WordPress is writable by the web server” checkbox is checked.

Next, under the “Security” heading, make sure the “Allow writes by logged in users” checkbox is checked. Finally, under the “Security” heading, make sure the “Require authentication for all writes” checkbox is checked.

Save your changes and you’re done. WordPress will now be writable by your users on their own machines.

However, be sure to change the password for the WordPress administrator account when you’re done.
