How Do I Link a Category to a Post in WordPress?

There are a few ways to link categories to posts in WordPress. You can use the category widget in the WordPress admin area, or you can use the CategoriesWP plugin.

To use the category widget, go to the WordPress admin area, and click on the Appearance tab. Under the Widgets heading, click on the Category Widget button.

On the Category Widget page, click on the Add New Category button. In the Add New Category dialog box, enter the name of the new category, and then click on the Add button.

To use the CategoriesWP plugin, go to the WordPress admin area, and click on the Plugins tab. Under the Plugins heading, click on the CategoriesWP plugin button.

On the CategoriesWP plugin page, click on the Add New Category button.

Once you’ve added a new category, you can link posts to it using the appropriate category widget or plugin setting. To use the category widget, go to the WordPress admin area, and click on the Posts tab. Under the Posts heading, click on the Add Post button. In the Add Post dialog box, enter the title of the post, and then click on the Categories tab.

In the Categories tab, click on the Add Category button. In the Add Category dialog box, enter the name of the new category, and then click on the Add button.

To use the CategoriesWP plugin setting, go to the WordPress admin area, and click on the Posts tab.

When you link a post to a category, WordPress creates a new category with the same name as the post, and sticks the post in that category. You can then edit the post’s category using the WordPress admin area.
