How Do I Edit a Core File in WordPress?

The Core File is the file that WordPress uses to determine what plugins and themes to load. It’s located in the wp-content/plugins folder and is named core.

To edit the Core File:

1. Open your WordPress site in your web browser.

2. Click the “Plugins” menu item in the left column of the WordPress admin area.

6. Change the name of the file to whatever you want, and then click the “Save Changes” button.

7. Click the “Activate” link next to the “Core File” title to activate the changes.

8. Click the “Delete” link next to the “Core File” title to delete the file.

9. Click the “Close” button to return to the WordPress admin area.
