How Do I Create a Subcategory in WordPress?

Creating a subcategory in WordPress is a relatively easy task. To begin, open your WordPress admin area and navigate to the “Categories” screen.

You’ll see a list of all of your categories. Click on the “Create New Category” link at the top of the screen.

Enter the name of your new subcategory in the “Name” field. You can optionally assign a description to your category.

Click on the “Create” button to finish creating your new category.

Now that your new category is created, you’ll need to add a few posts to it. To do this, click on the “Posts” tab on the left-hand side of the screen and then click on the “Add New Post” link.

Enter the title of your new post in the “Title” field and then fill out the content of the post. Be sure to include a link to the category that you created in the “Link” field.

Click on the “Publish” button to finish creating your new post.

Now that you’ve created a post and a category in your new subcategory, you’re ready to finish setting up your category hierarchy. To do this, click on the “Hierarchy” tab on the left-hand side of the screen and then click on the “Create New Level” link.

Enter the name of the new level in the “Name” field and then enter the title of the new level in the “Title” field. Click on the “Create” button to finish creating your new level in the hierarchy.

Now that you’ve created your new level in the hierarchy and added a few posts to your category, you’re ready to finish setting up your category taxonomy. To do this, click on the “Taxonomy” tab on the left-hand side of the screen and then click on the “Create New Term” link.

Enter the term that you want to create a category for in the “Term” field and then enter a description of the term in the “Description” field. Click on the “Create” button to finish creating your new term in the taxonomy.

Now that you’ve created your new term and category in the taxonomy, you’re ready to finish setting up your category settings. To do this, click on the “Settings” tab on the left-hand side of the screen and then click on the “Manage Categories” link.

In the “Category Settings” screen, you’ll need to enter the slug for your new category in the ” slug ” field. You can optionally assign a minimum number of posts to be required for a post to be placed in the category in the ” min_posts ” field.

You can also enable or disable category filtering in the ” Show Posts in This Category ” field.

Click on the “Save Changes” button to finish setting up your category settings.

Now that you’ve set up your category settings, you’re ready to finish setting up your posts in your new subcategory. To do this, click on the “Settings” tab on the left-hand side of the screen and then click on the “Man.
