How Do I Create a Search in WordPress?

Creating a search in WordPress is simple. First, open the WordPress admin area and click on the “Posts” menu item. Then, click on the “Add New” button and enter the following information into the “Title” field:

In the “Post Type” field, select the “Search” post type. Then, click on the “Save” button.

Now, you will need to create a search query. To do this, open the “Search Results” page that was created when you created the search in WordPress.

This page will list all of the posts that have been indexed as search results.

To create a new search query, click on the “Add New” button and enter the following information into the “Query” field:

cat

To search for posts that have the word “cat” in the title, you would enter the following query into the “Query” field:

You can also use wildcards (*) in your search query. For example, you could enter the following query:

cat*

This will search for any posts that have the word “cat” in the title.
