How Do I Create a Category by Search in WordPress Tutorial?

Creating a new category in WordPress is a fairly simple process. In this tutorial, we will show you how to do it step-by-step.

First, head over to the WordPress admin area and click on the “Categories” link in the left-hand column.

This will open up the Categories page. On this page, you will see a list of all the categories that are currently active on your WordPress blog.

To create a new category, click on the “New Category” button located in the lower-left corner of the page.

This will open up the New Category form. On this form, you will need to provide a name for your new category and specify what type of content your new category will contain.

Please note that you cannot have two categories with the same name on your blog.

Next, you will need to decide which posts will be included in your new category. To do this, you will need to select the “Posts” tab and then select the posts that you want to include in your new category.

You can also include posts that are in a specific taxonomy by selecting the appropriate taxonomy from the list on the left-hand side of the window.

Once you have finished selecting your posts, click on the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the form.

Your new category will now be active on your blog. You can now use the “Categories” link in the left-hand column to view and manage your new category.

Finally, you will need to create a category description for your new category. To do this, click on the “New Description” button located in the right-hand column of the New Category form.

This will open up the New Description form. On this form, you will need to provide a brief description of your new category.

Click on the “Submit” button at the bottom of the form to finish creating your new category.

Congratulations! You have now created your first category on your WordPress blog.
