How Do I Change the Permalink URL in WordPress?

WordPress is a popular content management system (CMS) that enables you to create a website or blog from scratch, or to improve an existing website. When you create a post, article, or other content, WordPress assigns a unique permalink URL to it.

If you’d like to change the permalink URL for a post, article, or other content, follow these steps:

1. Log in to your WordPress account.

2. Click the “Posts” tab on the left side of the screen.

3. Locate the post you want to change the permalink for and click on it.

4. On the right side of the screen, under the “Permalink” heading, click on the “Change Permalink” button.

5. In the “Permalink URL” box, enter the new permalink URL for the post.

6. Click on the “Update” button to save the change.

7. If you’d like to keep the original permalink URL for the post, enter it in the “Original Permalink” box and click on the “Update” button.

8. Click on the “Publish” button to save the change and publish the post.

9. Click on the “Back to Posts” button to return to the Posts tab on the left side of the screen.

10. Click on the “Publish” button to publish the post.

14. Click on the “Trim” button to remove the “http://” prefix from the permalink URL.

15. Click on the “Save” button to save the change and publish the post.
