How Do I Change the FTP Port in WordPress?

If you’re using FTP to transfer files between your WordPress site and a remote server, you may want to change the FTP port used. By default, FTP uses port 21, which is not secure. To secure your FTP connection, you can change the port to something like 80 or 443. To do this, open the Settings menu on your WordPress site, and then click on “Site Settings.” Under the “Site” heading, click on “FTP.” In the “FTP Settings” section, under “Server,” click on the “Port” tab.

You’ll see a list of available ports. Select the port you want to use, and then click on the “OK” button. Finally, under “User,” click on the “Permissions” tab. You’ll see a list of permissions required to use the selected port. Check the “Enable” box next to the “Allowed FTP Actions” category, and then click on the “OK” button.
