How Do I Add Upcoming Events in WordPress?

Adding upcoming events on your WordPress site is easy. In fact, all you need is the right plugin.

There are a few plugins on the market that will do the job, but our favorite is the upcoming events plugin by WPMU DEV.

Once you have installed the plugin, you can add upcoming events by clicking on the “Add New Event” button on your WordPress admin panel. You will then be prompted to provide some basic information about your event, such as the date, time, and location.

Once you have filled out the information, you will need to select the event type. There are three event types available: blog posts, pages, and posts.

blog posts are the most common, so we will focus on them here.

To add a new blog post event, you will need to click on the “Add New Blog Post Event” button, and then provide the basic information about your event. This information will include the title, date, time, and location.

You will also need to select the blog post from which the event will be created. This can be done by clicking on the “Select Post” button, and then selecting the post from which the event will be created.

Once you have filled out the information, you will need to click on the “Create Event” button. This will create the event, and will add it to your blog post.

Finally, you will need to add the event details. These details will include the event title, description, and photos.

You will also be able to add any additional information, such as sponsors, ticket information, or event links.

Once you have filled out the event details, you will need to click on the “Publish Event” button. This will publish the event, and it will be available to view and edit by other users.
