How Do I Add a Template to a Page in WordPress?

Adding a template to a WordPress page is easy. Just go to the Pages tab in the WordPress admin area, and click the Add new page button. Then, in the Add new page dialog box, select the Template option, and enter the name of the template in the Name field. Click the Choose file button, and select the template file you want to use. Click the Choose button, and WordPress will open the template in your default editor.

In the content field, paste in the text you want to appear on the page. (If you don’t have an editor open, WordPress will open the file in your default web browser.) Click the Save button to save the changes you’ve made, and then click the Close button to finish editing the page. When you’re finished, click the Publish button to publish the page to your website.
