Adding a placeholder image in WordPress is a quick and easy way to add an image that will be used to represent a post or page until it is actually published. To add a placeholder image, first navigate to the Posts or Pages screen in WordPress and click on the Add New Post or Add New Page button. In the Add New Post or Add New Page screen, click on the Media tab and select the Image option. In the Select Image File dialog box, browse to the location of the image you want to use as a placeholder and select the file.
