Do WordPress Plugins Use Cookies?

WordPress plugins use cookies in order to store user preferences, track user activity and to personalize web pages. Cookies are small files that are placed on the user’s hard drive and are used to identify the user. Cookies are not used to track the user’s online activities. Most cookies are deleted from the user’s computer when the user logs off, but some cookies remain on the computer until the user deletes them.

WordPress cookies are stored in the wp-config.php file.
